Terms & Conditions

1. About Drawdrop

Drawdrop is a digital platform that lets venues, pubs, clubs, and event organisers run prize draws — meat tray raffles, lucky door prizes, charity raffles, and similar promotions — online and in person. We provide the tools: ticket management, a public draw page, random winner selection, and payment processing. You provide the venue, the crowd, and the prize.

Drawdrop is a tool provider. We are not the gaming operator, lottery provider, or promoter. The venue, organisation, or individual creating the drawdrop is the operator and is solely responsible for ensuring their draw complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Who can use Drawdrop

Drawdrop is available to individuals, sole traders, clubs, associations, companies, and other organisations operating in Australia. To create an account, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.

If you are creating an account on behalf of a company, club, or organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms. The entity agrees to be bound by these terms and is responsible for all activity under the account.

3. Accounts & access

You need an account to create drawdrops. Accounts are tied to a venue or organisation. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Drawdrop provides a shared staff PIN feature that allows your staff to sell tickets without needing their own account. You are responsible for managing who has access to your staff PIN and for any actions taken using it. If you believe your account or PIN has been compromised, contact us immediately.

4. Creating drawdrops & pricing

Each drawdrop costs a flat $5 AUD to create. No percentage of ticket sales, no monthly subscriptions, no hidden fees. The $5 fee is charged when you create a drawdrop and is processed through Stripe.

During the beta period, drawdrop creation is free. We will notify users before the beta period ends and standard pricing begins.

Ticket sales revenue goes directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. Drawdrop does not take a percentage of ticket sales. Standard Stripe processing fees (set by Stripe, not Drawdrop) apply to online ticket payments. Standard Stripe processing fees apply to online ticket payments (set by Stripe, not us).

5. Ticket sales

Tickets can be sold in two ways:

  • In person (cash): Venue staff enter the buyer's name (and optionally their phone number) into the platform at the point of sale. Payment is handled directly between the venue and the buyer.
  • Online (card): Buyers purchase tickets through the public drawdrop page. Payments are processed by Stripe. Drawdrop does not store card details.

Ticket buyers are not required to create an account. Only a name is required to purchase a ticket. Phone numbers are optional and used solely for winner notification.

6. How the draw works

Winners are selected randomly by the Drawdrop platform. The selection process is automated and designed to be fair and impartial. Once a draw has been made, the result is final.

The winner's first name and ticket number are displayed publicly on the drawdrop page after the draw. If a phone number was provided, the winner may be notified via text message.

Drawdrop is not responsible for disputes between venues and ticket holders regarding prizes, ticket validity, or draw outcomes.

7. Your responsibilities

As the operator of a drawdrop, you are responsible for:

  • Complying with all applicable federal, state, and territory laws regarding raffles, lotteries, trade promotions, and prize draws.
  • Obtaining any permits, licences, or approvals required to run a raffle or prize draw in your jurisdiction.
  • Providing the prize you advertise and delivering it to the winner.
  • Being authorised to run a draw at your venue, event, or on behalf of your organisation.
  • Not using Drawdrop for illegal gambling or any unlawful purpose.

Raffle and gaming laws vary by state and territory. For example:

  • NSW: Raffles may require a permit from Liquor & Gaming NSW depending on the total prize value and whether the organisation is a not-for-profit.
  • VIC: Community and charitable organisations may need a minor gaming permit from the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission.
  • QLD: Raffles are regulated by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation. Permits may be required depending on prize value and the type of organisation.

This is general guidance only, not legal advice. Requirements differ based on your organisation type, prize value, and how tickets are sold. You must check your own obligations before running a draw. Drawdrop does not verify permits or compliance on your behalf.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding on the Drawdrop platform is owned by Drawdrop or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Drawdrop (such as venue logos or prize images). By uploading content, you grant Drawdrop a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of running your drawdrops.

9. Limitation of liability

Drawdrop is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Drawdrop and its directors, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost profits, missed draws, data loss, or business interruption arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid to Drawdrop in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Refunds

The $5 drawdrop creation fee is non-refundable once a drawdrop has been created. If something goes wrong on our end and your drawdrop cannot run as expected, contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a credit or refund at our discretion.

Refunds for ticket purchases are the responsibility of the venue or organisation that sold the tickets. Drawdrop does not process ticket refunds on behalf of venues.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have breached these terms, used the platform for unlawful purposes, or engaged in conduct that could harm Drawdrop or its users.

Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked. Any drawdrops that are in progress at the time of termination may be cancelled. We are not liable for any losses arising from account suspension or termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or through the platform. Continued use of Drawdrop after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
